Lystd ("we," "us," "our") is a social discovery platform that allows users to post moments, express vibes, and connect with others in real time. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email, username, password, gender identity, date of birth.
- Profile Details: Photos, bio, vibes, interests, location data.
- Posts ("Lysts"): Content you share, including text, photos, vibes, and location context.
- Interactions: Signals (Interested/Curious/I'm In), connections, messages.
- Reports: Information you submit when reporting a user or post.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, OS version, app version.
- Usage Data: App activity, interactions, timestamps.
- Approximate Location: Used to show nearby posts. We do not store precise GPS coordinates long-term.
- Log Data: IP address, error logs, crash reports.
C. Information from Third Parties
- App Stores: Subscription status, purchase history (no card numbers).
- Authentication Providers: If you sign in with Apple or Google.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the Lystd experience
- Display posts and connections based on your preferences
- Facilitate messaging and interactions
- Maintain safety and prevent abuse
- Process subscriptions and payments

3. Advertising
Lystd uses third-party advertising services, including Google AdMob, to display ads in the app. These services may collect limited device and usage information, such as device identifiers, approximate location, and app interaction data, in order to provide and measure ads.
We may also use analytics and advertising partners to understand performance and improve the user experience. Premium users may have access to an ad-free experience where applicable.
4. Temporary Content (Lysts)
Lysts are designed to be temporary.
- Free users: Lysts expire after 24 hours.
- Premium users: may optionally extend a Lyst up to 48 hours.
Expired Lysts are removed from public visibility and permanently deleted from our systems according to our retention policy, unless retention is required for safety, legal, or abuse-prevention purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain platform safety, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data collected.

Additional Information
- Data is removed from public visibility immediately upon deletion but may remain in secure systems during the applicable retention period.
- After the retention period expires, data is permanently deleted from our systems unless retention is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our policies.
- Certain data may be processed by trusted third-party service providers (such as authentication, messaging, and analytics providers) in accordance with this policy.
- Payments and subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store and Google Play. We do not store full payment details.
- Users may request deletion of their data at any time through account settings or by contacting support.

Lystd may use trusted third-party providers for authentication, analytics, messaging, subscriptions, and advertising. We may share information with:

- Payment processors (Apple, Google)
These providers only access data needed to perform their services.
B. Safety & Legal
We may share information if required to respond to legal requests, investigate abuse, fraud, or safety concerns, or enforce our Terms of Service.
C. Other Users
Posts you share, your profile, signals, connections, and messages. We do not share your email, password, or private account details with other users.
7. How We Protect Your Information
We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data storage, secure authentication, access controls, regular audits, and rate limiting and abuse detection. No system is 100% secure, but we take every reasonable step to protect your data.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or download your data, restrict processing, or withdraw consent. You can delete your account at any time in the app. Deletion triggers a 30-day purge process.
9. Children's Privacy
Lystd is for adults 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States or other regions where our service providers operate. We use safeguards to protect international transfers.
