You post your vibe as a Lyst — Real-Time, Standing Vibe, or Event — and connect through profile connection requests, comments, and chat, without endless swiping. No. Core browsing and posting are free with fair limits (1 active Real-Time + 1 active Standing Vibe at a time). Lystd Premium adds unlimited Lysts, reach, advanced filters, and more. See Lystd Premium below for pricing.

Sign up with your email and password. During onboarding you'll set:

• Username, city, and location
• Who you'd like to meet
• Your interests and vibes
• Date of birth (you must be 18+)
• Profile photo (required to connect)

A profile photo helps others feel comfortable connecting with you. We require one so everyone can meet and chat with confidence.

Lystd is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We use your date of birth to confirm age; only your age is shown on your profile, not your full birthday.

Completing your profile means adding accurate details such as how you identify, with inclusive options (including man, woman, transgender, non-binary). Pronouns are optional and can show on your profile. These fields help others understand you and power parts of the experience (such as suggestions)—they are not used to decide which Lysts appear in your main feed.

The feed shows people nearby regardless of gender. To focus on Lysts that interest you, use filters (age, distance, vibes, intent, meetup type, and more—some options may be Premium).

Explore Lystd is a free, interactive demo — not the Premium “Explore other cities” feature. From You → Help → Explore Lystd, you can try a sample community with a guided checklist: view a Lyst, show interest, join a group, vote in a poll, view an event, send a message, and create a Lyst.

Demo data swaps your feed, groups, connections, and messages to a sample city — your real account stays on the You tab. Exit anytime to return to your actual city; Premium gates are bypassed in demo mode.

A Lyst is a post describing what you’re up for—activities, meetups, events, or vibes. Examples: coffee this weekend, an open mic night, gym buddy, new in town. When you create, choose Real-Time, Standing Vibe, or Event.

• Real-Time — For things happening soon (think hours, not weeks). Visible 24 hours by default. Lystd Premium can extend visibility up to 48 hours and Boost (Premium) can surface a Real-Time Lyst higher in the feed.
• Standing Vibe — A 7-day window for slower-burn plans: roommates, weekly runs, recurring coffee, new in town. No boost.
• Event — A dedicated event post with name, description, start date & time, optional end time, location, optional link, cover photo, and event vibe tags. People RSVP with Interested or I'm Going. Events use a Real-Time or Standing slot depending on how far out the event is.

Free accounts: 1 active Real-Time + 1 active Standing Vibe at a time (including soft-deleted rows until expiry). Lystd Premium: unlimited active Real-Time and Standing Lysts. You can still create an Event if at least one slot is open.

• Real-Time: 24 hours by default. Premium: optionally up to 48 hours.
• Standing: 7 days in the product (no 48-hour extension).

The main feed is organized so you can scan what’s live now vs what’s open this week—sections like Live Now and Open This Week group Real-Time and Standing Lysts so they’re easy to tell apart. Newest Lysts appear first. Tap a card to open Lyst detail.

On standard Lysts, people can send three emoji reactions—think energy, connection, and showing love (🔥 · 🤝 · ⭐). Counts are public; you can see your own pick. Owners may get a notification when someone reacts (with sensible anti-spam behavior).

Event Lysts use Interested or I'm Going for RSVP instead of emoji reactions. Reactions and RSVP taps are separate from connection requests — they do not open direct messages on their own.

No. Reactions are a lightweight “same vibe” signal on a Lyst. Direct messages open after you accept a connection request or join a group meetup or Group chat.

Free: 1 active Real-Time Lyst and 1 active Standing Vibe at a time (a removed Lyst may still hold its slot until it expires). Lystd Premium: unlimited active Real-Time and Standing Lysts. Event Lysts count against Real-Time or Standing based on event timing — you can post an Event when at least one slot is available.

• Free: Up to 300 characters.
• Lystd Premium: Up to 800 characters.

Vibes are tags that describe the energy of your Lyst—curated options like coffee, gym partner, storytime, artist, and more. They help people discover your Lyst and filter the feed.

• Profile photos: Use the in-app free-form crop (drag, resize, rotate) for a clean square avatar.
• Lyst & group photos: Same free-form crop when adding cover or gallery photos. Wide images work best for feed cards (around 16:9).

• One-on-one: For meeting one person (e.g., coffee, drinks).
• Group: For meeting several people (e.g., brunch with a few people, group hike). Viewers may see Request to Join instead of event RSVP buttons.
• Virtual: For online hangouts when you’re not meeting in person.
• Just Vibing: Low-pressure Lysts that don’t imply a formal meetup — great for conversation vibes like Storytime or Discussion.

Event Lysts are a separate create type and do not use meetup types.

Boost surfaces a Real-Time Lyst higher in the feed. It’s a Lystd Premium feature. Standing Lysts don’t use boost. See the app for how many boosts you can use at once.

Go to You → Lysts to see My Lysts and an Interested tab for active Lysts you marked Interested on — who engaged, and what’s about to end, including reminders when something is expiring soon.

• Edit: Free users have a 15-minute window after posting to fix typos, vibes, or details. Lystd Premium members can edit active Lysts until they expire.
• Remove: You can take a Lyst down; it disappears from the feed right away, while the app still enforces fair limits on active Lysts (so the system can’t be gamed by rapid delete/repost).
• Use Manage on a Lyst for boost (Real-Time, Premium), engagement, and participants. On event Lysts, Interested and I'm Going responses appear as read-only engagement rows. On temporary group meetup Lysts, Join Requests can be accepted or declined.

Event is a top-level create type alongside Real-Time and Standing Vibe. Add an event name, description, start date & time, optional end time, location, optional https link, cover photo, and event vibe tags (dance, music, nightlife, and more).

Event detail shows a hero layout with calendar and link actions, a tappable map preview when location is available, start/end times when both are set, and public Interested and I'm Going participant avatars. You can open a sheet to see who’s Interested or I'm Going. Events expire at start time plus a short grace window. People who RSVP may get a reminder about an hour before the event.

Tap Interested or I'm Going to RSVP — that’s the primary way to show you’re going. Event Lysts do not use emoji reactions. Some events may also allow comments when the host has not turned them off; the same comment privacy rules apply (see Comments below).

Yes. Open your event and use the edit flow to update name, description, start or end time, location, link, cover photo, and tags — including after the event has started, within product limits. End time is optional but must be after the start time when set.

Conversation and Event Lysts support public comments when the host allows them. Tap Comment on the feed or open Lyst detail to join the thread. Comment counts appear on feed cards and Lyst detail.

Conversation and Just Vibing meetup Lysts use comments instead of event RSVP buttons.

Yes. On conversation and event Lysts, tap Reply on someone else’s comment to start a one-level thread nested under the parent. You’ll be notified when someone replies to your comment.

Yes. On conversation-vibe Lysts, the host can use the ⋯ menu to Turn off comments (or allow them again). When comments are off, the composer and thread are hidden for everyone.

Under Privacy → LYST COMMENTS, choose Anyone, Connections only, or No one (default: Anyone). You can always comment on your own Lysts. Per-Lyst Turn off comments overrides this for that post.

Groups are persistent communities you create or join. From the feed, switch to the Groups tab to see My Groups and Discover public groups nearby. Each group has a dedicated chat in Messages. Some groups display a Founding Community badge.

Owners can create a group with a name, description, category, optional photo, location, public or private visibility, and optional community rules. Public groups can be joined directly; private groups require owner or admin approval — often after you answer up to 3 join questions.

Groups have Owner, Admin, Moderator, and Member roles. The owner promotes or demotes admins and moderators. Admins can remove members (but not other admins). Moderators can pin messages and moderate chat but cannot manage membership. Members participate in chat and events.

• Share Group — For public groups only. Anyone can copy a link like lystd.app/groups/{group-id} for discovery.
• Invite link — Created by owner or admin from ⋯ → Invite. Works for public and private groups (lystd.app/groups/invite/{code}). Private groups use invite links only — not Share Group.

Invite links can expire or reach a use limit; ask the owner for a new link if one stops working.

Private group owners can set up to 3 required or optional questions. When you request to join (including via an invite link), you answer in the app. Owner or admin reviews your answers before approving or declining. Non-members see a safe preview only — name, category, member count — not full events or member lists.

• Announcements — Owner or admin set banner text on group detail and in group chat (members only for private groups).
• Welcome message — Custom text posted to group chat when someone joins, with an automatic @username greeting.
• Pinned messages — Owner, admin, or moderator pin one message at a time; a banner in chat scrolls to it.

• Polls — Create from the + menu; vote in-thread; optional end time and public/private votes.
• Photo messages — Send images from the composer attachment menu.
• Reactions & replies — Long-press to react (❤️ 😂 🔥 👀 👏) or reply with a quoted preview — also available in DMs and Lyst group threads.
• Shared Media — From group chat header, browse a grid of shared images.
• Moderation — Owner, admin, or moderator can remove messages; moderators cannot change membership.

Group owners can host group events from group detail. These appear on the nearby feed with a group name badge and show group context on Lyst detail. Group detail splits Upcoming Events and Past Events. Free group owners can have 1 active group event per group at a time; Lystd Premium owners have no cap. Private group event notifications go to members only.

On group meetup Lysts (not group events), viewers see Request to Join instead of Interested or I'm Going. The host accepts or declines on Manage Lyst; accepted members can open the group chat.

Send a connection request from their profile. When they accept in Connections → Requests, you become connected and can message each other. Lyst engagement (reactions, Interested/I'm Going on events, comments) does not create a connection or open DMs by itself.

On Event Lysts, tap Interested or I'm Going to RSVP so hosts can see who’s coming. They help you show up on a host’s radar but do not start a direct message thread. To chat with someone, send a connection request from their profile or join a shared group meetup or Group chat.

Conversation and Just Vibing Lysts use comments instead. Group meetup Lysts use Request to Join.

Messaging opens when you have an intentional connection — not from Lyst reactions or RSVP taps alone.

• Direct messages: After you or the other person accepts a connection request in Connections.
• Group meetup Lysts: After the host accepts your Request to Join and you’re in that Lyst’s group chat.
• Groups: From Messages once you’re a member of a persistent Group.

Yes. In direct chats, Lyst group threads, and persistent group chats you can send photos from your camera roll. In persistent group chat, use the + menu for photos and polls.

Yes. Long-press a message in DMs, persistent group chat, or active Lyst group threads to react (❤️ 😂 🔥 👀 👏) or reply with a quoted preview. This is separate from emoji reactions on Lyst feed cards.

In Connections, you may see “People you might connect with”—suggested profiles near you, based on location and profile vibes and interests. Discover people who fit what you’re looking for—without the noise.

Notifications use clear titles and bodies so you know what happened at a glance. The list groups items by Today, Yesterday, and Earlier. You can delete notifications you no longer need.

On the You tab under notifications, control Push on this device, New Lyst nearby, Vibe reminders, and category toggles — signals, comments, DMs, group messages, group events, polls, announcements, and more — stored on your account and respected by push delivery.

Nearby shows Lysts around you. On the free experience, the nearby radius is tuned for a strong local experience (e.g. up to about 25 miles—confirm in-app for the exact control). Lystd Premium unlocks a larger distance, Explore (more cities), and richer filters (vibes, intent, meetup type, time, and more).

Explore lets Premium subscribers browse Lysts in other cities. This is separate from Explore Lystd, the free interactive demo under You → Help.

You can filter the feed by:

• Age — Poster's age (e.g., 18–24, 25–29). Free.
• Distance — How far away; wider radii may be Lystd Premium-only.
• Time — When the Lyst was posted. Free.
• Intent — Casual, Chill, Romantic, etc. Lystd Premium.
• Meetup type — One-on-one, group, virtual, or Just Vibing. Lystd Premium.
• Vibes — Tags like Coffee, Drinks. Lystd Premium.
• Poster gender identity — Lystd Premium.

Hot Nearby surfaces Lysts with recent engagement near you.

Anyone in the feed who matches your radius and filters can see your Lyst. Pro users can browse in Explore and may see Lysts in other cities if you allow it.

In Privacy (You tab → Privacy) you can hide or show profile fields and control Lyst interactions:

• City, Age, Gender, Sexuality, Interests
• Member since, Last active
• LYST SHARING — Who can share your Lysts outside the app (Anyone, Connections only, or Only me)
• LYST COMMENTS — Who can comment on your Lysts (Anyone, Connections only, or No one)

Incognito mode is a Lystd Premium feature. It lets you browse without appearing in viewer lists. People won't see that you viewed their Lyst.

• Free: You see an aggregate view count only.
• Lystd Premium: You can see the list of people who viewed your Lyst.

From the You tab, open Premium to see plans and subscribe (monthly or yearly) through the App Store or Google Play. Use Manage Subscription to view your plan, restore purchases, or cancel — cancellation opens your device’s subscription settings.

Lystd may display ads through third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob. Premium features may include reduced or ad-free experiences where applicable.

• In chat: Use the menu (⋯) → Report.
• On a Lyst: Use the menu → Report.
• On a profile: Use the Report option.
• On a Group: Use the group overflow menu (⋯) → Report Group.
• General help: Go to You → Safety Center → Report a Problem.

You can report for: Harassment, Spam, Impersonation, Explicit content, Other

Yes. In chat, use the menu (⋯) → Block. Blocked users can't message you or see your Lysts.

Go to You → Safety Center. There you'll find:

• Tips for meeting safely
• Links to Community Guidelines, User Safety Policy, and more
• Report a Problem and Contact Support

From the app you can rate Lystd and leave a store review. Automatic prompts are infrequent and respect time in app, days since first open, and spacing between asks.

You tab → Sign Out.

You tab → Delete Account. Account deletion is handled by support; use the instructions there to request deletion.

• Make sure your location is enabled so Nearby can work.
• Try a larger radius (if you have Pro).
• Check your filters — you may be filtering out all Lysts.
• There may simply be no Lysts matching your criteria yet — try posting one.

You can message someone only after you accept their connection request (or they accept yours), after a host accepts you into a group meetup chat, or once you’re in a persistent Group. Tapping Interested/I'm Going on an event or reacting on a Lyst does not open DMs.

Browsing other cities is a Lystd Premium feature. Free accounts browse in Nearby mode only. To try the app without Premium, use Explore Lystd from You → Help.

Check You → Notifications and ensure push is enabled. Make sure the app has notification permission in your device settings.

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password" and follow the steps to reset it via email.
