FAQ

Lystd is a local social discovery app for meeting people, making friends, and networking. You post "Lysts" — short descriptions of what you're up for (e.g., coffee, brunch, hiking) — and connect with people nearby who want to do the same. It's social, spontaneous, and community-oriented.

Sign up with your email and password. During onboarding you'll set:

• Username, city, and location
• Who you'd like to meet
• Your interests and vibes
• Date of birth (you must be 18+)
• Profile photo (required to connect)

A profile photo helps others feel comfortable connecting with you. We require one so everyone can meet and chat with confidence.

Lystd is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We use your date of birth to confirm age; only your age is shown on your profile, not your full birthday.

To use the feed, you need to set your gender and at least one option for who you'd like to meet. This helps show mutually compatible connections.

A Lyst is a short post describing what you're up for — activities, meetups, or vibes. Examples: "Coffee this weekend," "Looking for brunch in Williamsburg," "Gym buddy wanted."

• Free: Lysts expire after 24 hours.
• Premium: You can optionally extend a Lyst up to 48 hours.

• Free: 1 active Lyst.
• Lystd Premium: Up to 3 active Lysts.

• Free: Up to 300 characters.
• Lystd Premium: Up to 800 characters.

Vibes are tags that describe the energy of your Lyst (e.g., Coffee, Brunch, Hiking, Good Energy, Chill). They help people discover your Lyst and filter the feed.

• One-on-one: For meeting one person (e.g., coffee, drinks).
• Group: For meeting several people (e.g., brunch with a few people, group hike).

Yes. Boosting pushes your Lyst higher in the feed. Free accounts can boost 1 Lyst at a time; Lystd Premium can boost up to 3.

Go to You → Lysts to see your posted Lysts. Tap one, then Manage to edit, boost, view requests, or manage participants (for group Lysts).

You can use:

• Interested — You're interested in their Lyst.
• Curious — Mild interest.
• I'm In — Strong signal that you want to join (limited per day).

"I'm In" is a super signal that tells a host you're serious about their Lyst.

• Free: 1 "I'm In" per day.
• Lystd Premium: Up to 5 "I'm In" per day.

Messaging is available after mutual interest — helping keep interactions intentional and safer.

• One-on-one Lysts: After you both express interest and become connected.
• Group Lysts: After the host accepts you and you're part of the group chat.

Yes. In direct and group chats you can send photos from your camera roll.

Nearby shows Lysts based on your location. You set a radius (5 or 10 miles on free; up to 100 miles on Lystd Premium).

Explore lets you browse Lysts in other cities. This is a Lystd Premium feature.

You can filter the feed by:

• Age — Poster's age (e.g., 18–24, 25–29).
• Distance — How far away (5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 miles; some options are Pro-only).
• Intent — Casual, Chill, Romantic, etc.
• Meetup type — One-on-one or group.
• Vibes — Tags like Coffee, Drinks (some filters are Pro-only).

Hot Nearby surfaces Lysts with recent engagement (people showing interest) near you.

Anyone in the feed who matches your radius and filters can see your Lyst. Pro users can browse in Explore and may see Lysts in other cities if you allow it.

In Privacy (You tab → Privacy) you can hide or show:

• City, Age, Gender, Sexuality, Interests
• Member since, Last active

Incognito mode is a Lystd Premium feature. It lets you browse without appearing in viewer lists. People won't see that you viewed their Lyst.

• Free: You see an aggregate view count only.
• Lystd Premium: You can see the list of people who viewed your Lyst.

Lystd Premium unlocks more visibility, reach, and control, including:

• Extend Lyst visibility to 48 hours
• Boost your Lysts for more reach
• See who viewed your Lyst
• Explore other cities
• Larger feed radius and advanced filters
• Incognito browsing
• Multiple active Lysts
• Premium badge

• Monthly: $9.99/month
• Yearly: $79.99/year

Note: In-app purchases may not be available in all regions yet.

Lystd may display ads through third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob. Premium features may include reduced or ad-free experiences where applicable.

• In chat: Use the menu (⋯) → Report.
• On a Lyst: Use the menu → Report.
• On a profile: Use the Report option.
• General help: Go to You → Safety Center → Report a Problem.

You can report for: Harassment, Spam, Impersonation, Explicit content, Other

Yes. In chat, use the menu (⋯) → Block. Blocked users can't message you or see your Lysts.

Go to You → Safety Center. There you'll find:

• Tips for meeting safely
• Links to Community Guidelines, User Safety Policy, and more
• Report a Problem and Contact Support

You tab → Sign Out.

You tab → Delete Account. Account deletion is handled by support; use the instructions there to request deletion.

You tab → Legal & Safety. From there you can open:

• Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines
• User Safety Policy, Content Moderation Policy
• Trust & Safety Transparency, EULA

• Make sure your location is enabled so Nearby can work.
• Try a larger radius (if you have Pro).
• Check your filters — you may be filtering out all Lysts.
• There may simply be no Lysts matching your criteria yet — try posting one.

You can only message after you're connected. For one-on-one Lysts, both sides need to express interest. For group Lysts, the host must accept you.

Explore is a Lystd Premium feature. Free accounts browse in Nearby mode only.

Check You → Notifications and ensure push is enabled. Make sure the app has notification permission in your device settings.

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password" and follow the steps to reset it via email.
